Running in a Calgary Indian Summer

Can you believe this weather?  Thankfully we have only 3 long runs before our Victoria HALF Marathon
  • Friday, Sept 18: 7:30 am  The plan is to meet at the Shouldice Pool for a 18 km run up the big hill to the little Church (top of Home Road),  then take the pathway through Silver Springs.  Any walkers please do come, it will take us about 2 hrs and a bit.
  •  Wednesday, Sept 23: Anyone want to go for the grand opening of the Crossiron Mills RUNNING ROOM??
  • Saturday, Sept 26: 20 km run, route to be announced.
  • Sunday, Oct 4: Taper run of 6 km, route to be announced.
Just to recap this week: Casper and I have had a couple of great runs, fortunately I am a lady of leisure at the moment so I have been able to run in the morning cool.  Monday, I ran the Edworthy Park - Crowchild Bridge loop (approx 8 km).  Then on Wednesday I ran an 8 km out&back from the little church at the top of Home Road along the Silver Springs pathway, it was very beautiful.   On both runs this week I broke in a new pair of Asics Running Shoes so I am ready for tomorrow's Long Run.
